I envision my young happy and fearless (but naive) character exploring a world set way in the future, something many of us can imagine and perhaps even fear, where reminents of a forgotten world will be present, hidden within the overgrown foliage and new mystical creatures and plants that are taking over the planet. I know I want to create a fixture between my young character, which will represent the best of humanity, creatures that will represent the earths soul/nature, and technology, the product of humanity which nearly wiped out nature altogether.
I love fantasy stories like the one I’m trying to put together which contain messages that are so relevant to our current situation on the planet, but through a world and a character that are not of this world, but one very similar. Sometimes when you’re trying to communicate an emotion, a feeling or even a message, putting it into a story is the best way forward when trying to get it across successfully.
